On December 5th of the previous year, a taxi driver filed a report at the Hohenbergstraße police station against five juvenile passengers whom he had driven from Simmering to Meidling. Upon reaching the destination, the juveniles allegedly jumped out of the vehicle without paying the fare and ran away. They also reportedly stole his wallet. The Vienna State Criminal Police Office, Juvenile Robbery Department, has so far managed to locate three of the five suspected perpetrators. The minors, aged 12 and 13, were charged on suspicion of fraud, theft, suppression of documents, misappropriation of non-cash payment instruments, and burglary.

On February 18th, a teenager, together with his father, filed a report after two unknown perpetrators attempted to rob the 14-year-old. Initially, he was followed by the juveniles, then held and forced to hand over cash, otherwise, they threatened to injure him with their knives. However, the 14-year-old managed to free himself and flee to a nearby snack stand. On the same day, the suspected perpetrators were reported in another case for aggravated coercion with a hunting knife at the Langobardenstraße police station. Investigators from the Vienna State Criminal Police Office, North Branch, were able to identify the suspects, aged 13 and 14. They were charged on suspicion of attempted robbery.
