In the used car market, electric cars and vehicles with hybrid drives are becoming increasingly popular.

According to Statistics Austria, in the first half of 2025, almost a quarter (24.7 percent) more used electric cars were registered. For used two-wheelers, 11.4 percent more mopeds and 8.2 percent more motorcycles were registered. In total, 554,393 used motor vehicles (Kfz) were registered in the first half of the year, which was 5.3 percent more than in the first half of 2024.
