Taxi Demo in Vienna: Protest Continues

Already two weeks ago, on November 26, the protest drive in the afternoon in Vienna caused significant traffic disruptions. The convoy starts, as before, at 12:00 PM on Arbeiterstrandbadstraße near the Danube Tower and leads through the second district to Heldenplatz, where the final rally takes place at 3 PM.

The movement, which claims to be politically independent and consists of around 1,200 taxi drivers, sees itself exposed to unfair competition from Uber, Bolt, and others, as they are allowed to charge within a price range. There should be a uniform and binding taxi tariff for all passenger transport in Vienna.
